Privacy

This policy describes the BriskFiles preview at briskfiles.com, operated by Koncept and Things. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.

Your files stay in your browser

The image and PDF tools read and process selected files on your device. BriskFiles does not operate a file-upload endpoint or store your selected documents or images on a server. Working copies and previews use browser memory; Clear removes the selection and results from the interface, and closing the page ends the session. Downloaded files remain on your device until you remove them. Keep your originals: conversion can change quality, dimensions, transparency, colors and embedded metadata. PDF operations can remove interactive features, bookmarks, attachments and signatures; keep and check your originals.

Hosting and performance measurement

Cloudflare serves and protects this website and currently injects performance analytics. Observed telemetry includes page location, loading timings, browser memory measurements and event identifiers. BriskFiles does not intentionally include selected filenames or image contents in analytics. Cloudflare also receives connection information such as IP addresses when serving pages, and may use security cookies for protection features. Its services have their own processing and retention practices. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Web Analytics information.

The optional HEIC decoder

HEIC conversion downloads a versioned decoder from briskfiles.com only when you process a HEIC file. Cloudflare serves it with the rest of the site; selected images are decoded locally. The script is checked against an expected integrity hash before the browser runs it. See our open-source notices, source downloads and build instructions.

PDF processing

PDF conversion, page management, annotation, visible signing, forms, comparison, scanning, English OCR, password protection, unlocking and recovery run locally. Passwords, signature images and form values are processed in browser memory and are not sent to BriskFiles. PDF libraries, fonts and decoding assets load from briskfiles.com when needed. PDF contents and page selections are not intentionally included in analytics. The security tools can protect PDFs or unlock them with a known password. Other PDF tools require an unlocked copy; splitting, merging and page-management tools reject interactive forms and signature permissions. The forms tool supports standard AcroForms, not XFA or digital signatures. Image exports and compressed PDFs are flat images. Word, Excel and Markdown exports extract selectable text without OCR. PowerPoint exports page images. OCR PDF separately recognizes English text using recognition files served by BriskFiles. Redaction creates a new raster PDF without the original text, attachments or form data. HTML print previews remove active content and external resources and use the browser print dialog. Clear removes files and results from the page; downloaded outputs remain on your device.

Support messages and email

The support form sends your name, email address, subject, message, and any optional tool and browser/device details to FormSubmit so they can be forwarded to [email protected]. FormSubmit also receives network connection information when you submit. It documents a 30-day submission archive; see its service documentation and privacy information for its practices. The form accepts no file attachments. This is separate from PDF and image tool processing, which stays on your device.

If you email us directly, your address, message, and any attachments pass through email-routing and mailbox providers so we can respond. Do not send sensitive files, passwords, or unnecessary personal information. Support correspondence may remain in our mailbox while we handle your request and maintain necessary records. Contact [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion of correspondence; applicable rights and any required retention depend on your circumstances and jurisdiction.

What is not included

The current release has no user accounts, payments, advertising or cloud file storage. We will update this policy before changing these practices. This page does not promise that a third-party provider keeps no logs or that every image format preserves metadata.
