Open-source notices

BriskFiles uses open-source software. These notices describe the optional HEIC decoder and link to its licenses and upstream source. Individual licenses govern their respective components.

heic-to 1.6.7

By Hopper Gee. Distributed under GNU LGPL version 3 or later, as described in its license file. BriskFiles serves its own build, 1.6.7-briskfiles.1, only when needed for HEIC conversion, with a versioned URL and integrity verification. The worker awaits the rebuilt native module; the wrapper otherwise retains the upstream conversion interface. Source and build instructions: upstream repository. Exact published wrapper package: heic-to 1.6.7 source package.

Embedded native decoder

The reviewed generated JavaScript identifies libheif 1.23.7 and libde265 1.0.16. Upstream sources and license information: libheif and libde265. Those components are covered by their respective license notices.

Download sources and rebuild

These downloads are available without charge or an account. The source archives preserve their upstream license and copyright notices.

You may modify or replace the decoder and recombine it with the supplied integration, including reverse engineering to debug library modifications. The instructions explain updating the script URL and integrity hash without a vendor key. The native decoder was compiled from the published, unmodified source trees with Emscripten 6.0.13; the build scripts record its settings. Native compilation, wrapper rebuilding and a modified wrapper replacement were tested. These materials document source and replacement compliance work; they are not a legal opinion or patent clearance.
